If you read the blog recently, you will have seen this article where i moaned about having to go to Edinburgh to get my finger prints taken, well i went through the whole drama and came back home with a haggis.
The journey there was pleasant enough, the boat was fun and the kids enjoyed it, the coach was packed and had no leg room for me,it broke down between Glasgow and Edinburgh, but the coach that replaced it had tons of leg room.
The hotel which was a Travelodge one was quite decent, that was until we decided to get something to eat in the place, only to discover that they did not have a restaurant on the premises, which meant we missed out on the free all you can eat breakfast for the kids, but that was my own fault for not checking to see if it had any such services in the first place, i assumed that they all had them, but it was a minor annoyance.
So the Visa Application Centre and got my finger prints scanned, took hardly any time at all, before i left i asked the lady how often i would need to do this stupid process and she said every time, which i find dumb, as i am not going to chop my fucking finger prints off and replace them with some one elses, but fuck it, ill just get my Irish passport and say goodbye to the British passport.
On from the Visa place to Edinburgh Castle, the queue was fucking huge, there must have been over 100 people in front of us when we got there, but it was worth it, the kids enjoyed it a little, i enjoyed it more, here are some photos from the time there:
We left after an hour or more and did some souvenir shopping, finally stopping on Cockburn road to get something to eat, it was a nice little Scottish place called the Arcade Bar, we all had some Wraps, here are a couple of images:

The food was ok, but what was better was the service and the friendliness of the hostess serving us.
Then back to the hotel, the following day we left at 2PM to catch the bus at 3PM, the bus station was only about ten minutes walk from the closest butchers, so i decided i should buy some haggis, rushed to the place, wasn’t quite sure where it was, but managed to get the haggis and get back in time for the bus, got back hom after 11PM and decided to upgrade PlayStationHaX forum 🙂
